Gbolekekro Women Empowerment and Development Organization (GWEDO) is a women-led organization who’s focus is “building a world where women are free to express themselves and empowering the girl child.” It is a community based organization and non-profit organization committed to improving the lives of individuals and families in our community by providing access to resources, opportunities for personal growth and development.
What We Do
We empower women through education and training, advocate for equality and human rights, and amplify voices to build an inclusive, just society.
We build communities through infrastructure, livelihoods, microfinance, and entrepreneurship, creating jobs, boosting economies, and fostering resilience, self-reliance, and improved living standards.
We promote environmental justice, conduct research for sustainable solutions, and foster peacebuilding to protect communities, resolve conflicts, and ensure lasting harmony.
